Bosker Bandit® Automatic Raking Screen

Bandit Trash Rakes are the ideal solution for small, often remote, intakes such as culverts. As with Bosker Overhead Trash Rakes, Bandits can be easily retrofitted into existing intakes and can be operated either by a pre-programmed cycle, manual activation or level differential. The latter option is particularly useful for dealing with the unexpected volumes of debris often caused by severe seasonal conditions.

Suitable for existing or new installations, the compact, powerful Bandit is located on a deck-mounted travel carriage, and so is especially suited to small or remote intakes. It can clean multiple intakes and can turn up to 270 degrees, allowing it to reach dumping areas in difficult positions. The Bandit has a maximum depth of 2.5m and bar spacing of 12 to 200+ mm. It can be mounted on a concrete or steel platform and can lift up to 250kg. The Bandit can be static or traversing (rack and pinion) design allowing it to clean areas wider than its grab width.

The Bandit Raking Machine consists of a telescopic hydraulic arm, a main body, a grab unit and a framework. The Bandit framework must be fixed to a concrete foundation (not included) with chemical anchor bolts. The Bandit machine will travel in this framework to move between the different grab and dump locations.

The telescopic hydraulic arm of the Bosker Bandit has three double acting hydraulic rams, which operate the grab unit opening and closing, the linear movement of the telescopic arm, and the lifting of the telescopic arm.  The main body of the Bandit contains the hydraulic power pack for the operation of the hydraulic rams.

The machine is rotated by a geared motor unit, again mounted inside the main body allowing the grab to transport captured screenings from the collection sump to the discharge point.

The Bandit Raking Machine can traverse on a rack and pinion rail track system.  This type of design will enable the unit to access either multiple bar screens or one long bar screen (dependant on design) before depositing into a single or multiple skips. If the travelling Bosker unit is provided then its travel movement is powered motor unit located in the main body that will drive the geared pinion. Power to the machine will be through a power chain fixed to the units framework.
