WHY WASTE WATER?

On 22 March every year World Water Day is celebrated around the world. It’s a day to focus our attention on the importance of water and advocate the sustainable management of precious water resources.

More than two-thirds of the planet is covered by water, one of the most vital substances to human survival. But despite our universal need for clean, drinkable water, most human activity that involves water generates one of the biggest threats to our environment: wastewater.  Globally, over 80% of the wastewater generated by society flows back into the ecosystem without being appropriately treated. Fortunately in the majority of the developed world this figure is very much smaller, but there is still more to do.

Jacopa believe that there remains great opportunity to use wastewater as a positive resource. The company’s experts work tirelessly to deliver creative and effective wastewater solutions to meet the needs of its clients with a portfolio of technologies to boost production efficiency whilst meeting stringent treated effluent standards and maximising conservation through reuse of precious water resources.
