SPONSORSHIP STING FOR SCORPIONS
West Bromwich-based wastewater treatment specialist Jacopa is helping local children by part sponsoring the under-sevens football team, Sedgeley Scorpions East.
The team play in the Walsall Junior Youth Football League, which now in its 64th season is firmly established as one of the Countrys leading providers of grass roots football. All the team are aged between six and seven, live in the local community and attend schools nearby.
Jacopa were particularly keen to show the company’s support for the youngsters as team manager Adrian Lewis is both a Jacopa employee and father of Jacob Lewis, one of the teams rising stars.
Adrian says: “I’m really committed to these youngsters who may be our future superstars so I approached my MD to ask if the company would like to be involved. I was therefore delighted when he kindly offered to provide the boys with all-weather coats so that they will be kept warm and dry when training and attending matches throughout the cold winter months, I can’t thank Jacopa enough for their support.”
Jacopa Managing Director Alex Lloyd said, “We are keen to support the local community and our sponsorship of Sedgeley Scorpions East allows us to do just that, we’re delighted to be supporting them.”
