VIP VISITORS FOR JACOPA
As the Northern Ireland water sector faces economic restraints and uncertainty and an unprecedented demand for growth in the water network the spotlight is on key decision makers.
Two such VIP’s, Linda MacHugh, Department for Infrastructure, Director of water & drainage policy and Northern Ireland Water Chief Executive, Sara Venning were on the Jacopa stand at today’s Northern Ireland water conference where the wastewater technology and services experts were presenting the company’s latest technology, ideas and innovations to tackle current and future wastewater treatment challenges.
Sara Venning is responsible for the overall performance of Northern Ireland Water including water treatment and distribution. She was at the event to make a presentation entitled ‘Factors for future planning’ in which she considered the impact of climate change, future energy and the influences of population and the economy.
And with Brexit on the horizon just four weeks after the conference, Linda MacHugh lead a stimulating panel discussion on ‘Future-proofing the Northern Irish water sector’. The thought provoking session addressed issues including climate change and uncertainty and restraints in the economy.
