SOCCER SPONSORSHIP SUCCESS
West Bromwich-based wastewater treatment specialist Jacopa is once again helping local children, this time by sponsoring the Walsall Ladies Under-11 football club.
The Company who have already helped sponsor the Sedgeley Scorpions East, under-sevens football team, wanted to show their support for the youngsters, especially as Adrian Lewis who assists with the team’s coaching and training is both a Jacopa employee and father of Lily-Sue (bottom right in photo) who plays for the team.
Adrian said: “With winter approaching, it became clear that the team didn’t have any suitable cold weather jackets and with no funds to purchase them they needed a sponsor to help them out. I spoke to my Directors, Alex Lloyd and Peter Sargent and was delighted to find that they were willing to help”.
The recent first team’s match against Wycombe Wanderers at which the under-11 team took on the role of flag bearers provided the ideal opportunity for the girls and the team manager to be presented with their new coats. Team manager Daniel Wellington said: “The whole team were really impressed with the jackets, and are very grateful for Jacopa’s generosity and support”
Jacopa Managing Director Alex Lloyd said, “Just as Adrian’s daughter is a member of the team, Adrian himself is a member of our team here at Jacopa. We are always pleased to support local youngsters when we can and wish the Walsall Ladies under-11 football club every success for the season”.
