Jacopa SOS Overflow Screen®

The Jacopa storm overflow screen can be fabricated to suit a variety of weir overflow lengths. The machines are ideal for the removal of floating debris prior to storm storage tanks or discharge into rivers etc. The CSO Screen provides screening from 3mm to 8mm to suit Client specific requirements. Brushes mounted on the screw ensure a perfect cleaning of the filter basket holes and the passage of water. This screen can accommodate an upward flow or an overflow arrangement.

The screen consists of a Filtering semi-circular curved perforated trough with a rotating transportation screw for discharge of collected screenings. The loading trough is manufactured using a perforated stainless steel sheet (304 and 616). The screw rotates inside the semi-circular trough and transports the captured debris towards the discharge zone of the screen. Special brushes mounted on the surface of the screw keep the screen face clean and allow water to pass freely through. The start/stop cycle of the screw is managed by a level indicator located at the end of the machine.

The gear motor is compact and sized based on the length and the diameter of SOS machine. Captured screenings can be discharged back into the flow or transported out of the area by means of a screw elevator.

Flow rates from 100 to 7,200 l/sec can be accommodated in an individual screen with screen aperture sizes ranging from 3mm to 8mm in 2 directions and lengths of up to 12.0m. There are 6 screen diameter sizes of 300, 400, 500, 600, 700 and 800mm.

Motor protection typically of either IP55 or IP68 can be provided dependant on application, however other motor protection sizes can be accommodated.
