This is an extremely sad and sombre moment in our national life, our sympathies go out to all members of the Royal Family today.

Queen Elizabeth II was not only the longest-reigning British monarch in history; she was also the second longest reigning monarch in the world.

Known for her strong faith, sense of duty and her devotion to a life of service, she has been an important figurehead for the UK during times of enormous social change, and has been a source of inspiration for countless millions of people over many decades.
