JACOPA ON STAGE AT NATIONAL CONFERENCE

The Pump Centre Conference and Exhibition is held annually at Telford International Centre and is recognised as the leading event of its kind in the UK. For 2017 the conference theme is, ‘TOTEX: Pumping System Efficiency, Reliability & Optimisation’ and Jacopa will be taking to the stage with a Main Conference Presentation entitled ‘Upstream Investment = Downstream Saving’ which will take place at 14:30 hrs in the Pattingham Suite.

The Water Industry’s focus on TOTEX came into effect with AMP 6 and has resulted in major strategic change for the sector, one that has put an onus of responsibility on suppliers to demonstrate that their products and services support delivery of outcomes for water companies. System TOTEX can be reduced by improvements in efficiency, reliability and by optimisation of the whole treatment process. At the Conference, Jacopa will present a supplier’s perspective, including the strategic case that focus on inlet works investment benefits downstream treatment assets including pumps.

Managing Director, Alex Lloyd said, “The previous focus on Capex put an emphasis on investment to meet individual outputs. With the move from ‘outputs’ to ‘outcomes’ capital expenditure and operational cost are key considerations along with other direct and also indirect impacts on cost. The healthy outcome of this is that the life cycle cost impact of procurement decisions are under scrutiny putting greater emphasis on innovation-driven cost-efficiencies. Our extensive range of inlet works solutions enables us to focus on Totex through a ‘one stop shop’ for our customers, including Coarse Screens, Fine Screens, Screenings Handling, Packaged Inlet Works, Packaged Grit Removal & Treatment Systems”.

Jacopa’s one stop shop approach also extends to storm treatment equipment and support to outcome delivery, Alex Lloyd said, “We provide solutions for customers by assessing hydraulic conditions within storm systems and any impact on the design characteristics of associated pump installations to reduce the risk of overspill when flow control equipment is fitted to attenuate downstream flows”.

The Pump Centre Conference and Exhibition takes place on May 11th at The International Centre, Telford. You can visit Jacopa on stand F1 and see them on the Product Demo Zone.
