Jacopa® Channel Rake Bar Screen
The Jacopa coarse screening unit is the first step in a process of screening municipal wastewater. The purpose of the machine is to intercept and remove large size debris that can damage or slow down the process of fine screenings removal. The chain screen is specifically designed for use in wastewater treatment plants. The filtration level is defined depending on the type and amount of material expected in the adopted process. The screen filter consists of fixed grit bars able to block the suspended solids larger than the screen space. Lifting them out of the water flow by means of cleaning combs and conveys them to the discharge point of the machine. In the discharge area, a mechanical cleaning system, called counter cleaning combe, causes the fall of the material screened into a collection box.
